Carl Cunow and Nathan Romano co-founded Onia in 2009. The brand represents their shared interests across travel, hospitality, minimalist design, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
Cunow’s precise eye for detail was honed as part of Steven Alan’s executive operations team. Working with factories on 4 continents, Cunow fostered relationships with boutique manufacturers and artisans, while connecting the dots between product design, production, and the overall success of the business.
Romano balances this operational expertise with his background in sales, marketing, and licensing. He previously lead a sales team for a leading fashion licensing firm, managing a global roster of clients while proactively engaging with all facets of the business — from marketing and branding, to web development and brand partnerships.
